Boost Mobile Introduces Trio of New Promos

Sprint’s prepaid brand Boost Mobile has always been one of the more aggressive companies as far as the pricing war and switcher credits goes. Today, the company continues that trend with a trio of promotions that will give virtually every potential and current customer an opportunity to save money. As far as I know, these promotions are only available in stores and are scheduled to end on September 30, 2015Find a Boost Mobile retailer near you. Here are the current promotions:

For New Activations

Boost has launched the Join promo which will grant customers a discount on new phones and a free month of service when activating a new line. Instead of a free month of service and a discount on a budget device, customers can choose to take a $100 credit when purchasing a more expensive device like and iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy device. Customers who take the $100 credit will not get the free month of service. For this promotion, you do not have to port in your number, but you must purchase a new device. and pay for the first month of service. Here are the devices that are eligible for a credit:
  • HTC Desire 510 ($50 off)
  • Moto E, Kyocera Hydro ICON, Kyocera Vibe, LG Tribute 2 ($70 off)
The only downside is that the free month of service is split up between the second and third month, so you effectively pay for a phone and the first month service, then pay half your monthly bill on the second month and half on the third month. This promo cannot be combined with the porting promotion outlined below, but is applicable with the “Slash Your Bill in Half” promotion.

For Port-Ins

Boost also has a Switch promotion running for customers looking to port-in a number from a non-Sprint carrier. With this promotion, customers can get a free basic smartphone, or a $100 – $150 credit for a more expensive device. The phone credits/discounts are only applicable with the following devices. For Current Customers

If you’ve been with Boost for at least 60 days: Then you are eligible for the Upgrade promotion. Boost is offering current customers who want to upgrade their device discounts on slightly older phones. To get this promotion you do not have to turn in your old phone. • HTC Desire 510 – $49.99

To get the free data added on to your plan, text BOOST2GB to 8005. The additional data should be added on at your next monthly renewal.
