Telus adds mobile search program

It’s actually a pretty simple idea. You start typing in letters, and Qix returns contacts, multimedia, or other files and applications on your phone. In theory, this will help people navigate their phones in an easier manner, thus making the medium more conducive to advertising.

“This will vastly increase our customers’ mobile experience,” said Stephen Ospalak, Telus’s VP of subscriber devices. “The fact that Qix is an innovative and user-friendly engine and is compatible with the multiple handsets and PDAs we offer were key factors in our decision to choose this engine.”
