Cricket to Offer ZTE Fanfare

Cricket Wireless has added a new phone to its prepaid lineup with, ironically, zero fanfare. The ZTE Fanfare is available through Walmart stores nationwide for about $70 and while the technical specifications of this phone aren’t the greatest, it would be an excellent basic phone for light users or anyone looking to venture into the smartphone market. The Fanfare has a small 4.5 inch screen with off-brand or low-end specs including a dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor and Dragontail glass, which is similar to Gorilla Glass. Here is a sneak peek at what’s under the case:
• Android 4.4 Kitkat
• 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
• 1 GB RAM
• 4 GB memory
• microSD card slot (up to 32 GB)
• 5 MP back camera
• 0.3 MP front camera
• 2000 mAh battery (estimated 12.6 hours talk time)
Like I said, nothing super exciting, but at the low price of $70 it’s not too shabby and would certainly be able to get the job done. The device is available from Walmart’s website, in Walmart stores and also in select Cricket stores. Cricket Wireless operates on AT&T’s network and offers a range of prepaid plans ranging from $25 – $60 depending on the amount of data and usage that consumers require. Cricket also offers $5 rebate for customers who sign up for auto pay. For more information on Cricket pricing and plans, visit the website.]]>
