MetroPCS Brings Back 4 Lines for $100

The only place where prepaid plans tend to fall short is in the family plan category. Very few companies have any kind of offering for customers looking to have multiple lines. Usually this isn’t too much of a problem as the plans themselves are cheap enough that it mostly even out. But, if you are looking for the simplicity of having all of your family on the same account and the same plan, then MetroPCS‘s deal is probably exactly what you’re looking for. I’m not sure when it happened, but MetroPCS has apparently renewed its multiple line deal and is offering customers discounts with each additional line they add to a maximum of 4 lines for $100. As before, with each consecutive line, the price per phone goes down. Here’s how it’s broken down:
  • 1 line = $40
  • 2 lines = $70
  • 3 lines = $90
  • 4 lines = $100
All lines will be treated as if they have MetroPCS’ $40/month plan which includes unlimited talk and text as well as 2 GB of high speed data. After that 2 GB of high speed has been spent, users will be able to access data at throttled speeds for the remainder of the monthly plan. As a note, in order to qualify for the family pricing, all four phones must be on GSM plans (as the CDMA network will be shutting down very soon). I don’t believe you can combine this with other promotions, but you’d have to check with MetroPCS about that. There is an addendum stating that the offer is combinable with plans other than the $40 plan, but there are no specifics. I would assume if you wanted one line to be on a higher plan (and therefore pay a higher rate) MetroPCS wouldn’t  complain. This offer is valid in stores only. Find a store near you or read more about the promotion and other special pricing and plan options on MetroPCS’s website.]]>
