Telastrial offers SIM card for international calling

Net10 offer a cheap international calling program, though only to limited countries. Total Call Mobile offers the same rates to the same countries as Net10, though expands their list to smaller, and thus more expensive, countries. Telestial, a travel communication company, has released a product called the SIMple Calling SIM card, which will allow users to make international calls from any GSM phone within the U.S. They say rates start as low as 9 cents per minute, though they go on to say that a ten-minute call to a landline abroad would cost $1.40. I know I haven’t taken a math class in a few years, but that works out to 14 cents per minute. Which, of course, is great for international calls. That is, unless you’re also being charged airtime by your carrier, in which case these rates seem on par with the rest of the industry.Text messages are offered as well at 35 cents each. They say the service is available on July 23, which is yesterday. Yet I see no mention of it on the site. Has anyone else heard of this deal? We’d like to get a number of users commenting on this so we can see how well it actually works.]]>

Do you mean for making calls when overseas on your mobile, or when in the US. I use a global sim card called GeoSIM from http://www.globalsimcard.co.uk when I’m out side the US when traveling.
