Straight Talk adds unlimited international messaging for Android customers

Straight Talk make a pretty big move, introducing a $60 unlimited international long distance plan. Not long afterwards they made a smaller, under-the-radar move, adding unlimited international text messaging to their $45 unlimited plan. This feature, however, is available only to Android customers. Right now Straight Talk offers the Samsung Galaxy Precedent, the LG Optimus Q, and the Optimus Black in its Android lineup. Many other carriers offer this unlimited international text messaging service, though many charge for it. Straight Talk’s addition comes at no extra charge, and will further boost the profile of its premier plan. Via PhoneNews.com.]]>

Why can I not make an international phone call from my straight talk phone, but can send and receive text messages? Is it the phone or the number I am trying to reach?
    Thank you.

    I hate their international plan.
if you dial a number that is not with-in the plan, the call will go through and then you will get your phone service disconnected. So you end up spending more than what you plan if you come back. Hate St Talk.
