AT&T launches video sharing service nationwide

AT&T has announced that they’re set to offer their mobile video sharing service nationwide. This makes perfect sense with the inception of the iPhone, as AT&T subscibers can now send live or recorded video to other AT&T subscribers. Just a few clicks, and that video of your buddy getting pepper sprayed can be sent to all of your friends on AT&T. And that is a sign of progress. Of course, it won’t come free. It’s $4.99 per month for 25 minuges of usage, and $9.99 for 60 minutes. And for you prepaid subscribers out there — or those of you who don’t want to commit to that many minutes — you can get it on a prepaid basis for 35 cents per minute. The service is also only available on select phones: LG CU500, and the Samsung a717 or a727 phones. As with all new programs, they plan to offer it on more phones in the future. Another drawback (you knew there’d be one): it’s only available on AT&T’s 3G network, which isn’t yet fully developed. So you need a certain phone, a certain network, and some dough to take advantage of this service. [Broadcast Newsroom]]]>

Actually, it doesn’t do anything for the iphone, which cannot take video with it’s camera.

True yes, you can’t take video with your iPhone. But once AT&T expands their service, you can send videos to an iPhone.
