Straight Talk adds Samsung Galaxy S3
May 20, 2013/
Strange, I saw this on the Straight Talk website last week, but it didn’t really click that it was something new. Lo and behold, the Straight Talk blog announced on Friday that they were indeed selling the Samsung Galaxy SIII. We needn’t run down the specs for it at this point; nearly every carrier, prepaid and postpaid, carries it at this point. It’s actually a great time to get one, since it’s getting discounted with the Galaxy S4 about to hit markets nationwide. It will cost you $439.99, which isn’t half bad for a non-subsidized phone. ]]>

Really? Straight Talk gets another phone? Where were you guys when Tracfone decided to buy out Page Plus? That’s way more newsworthy then another handset from ST or Metro. Get with the program. You guys don’t even have any section on Air Voice but have sections on Ampd Mobile . This website needs a serious upgrade and update.
That article got posted not long after your comment, Ike. I wrote it the night before and posted it in the morning, as I’ve been doing (with some interruptions) on this site since 2008. The ST handset article, as you might imagine, was written Friday evening.
The phone runs on Sprint prepaid nonroaming towers. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Not to mention, Sprint just upstaged that announcement by announcing the S3 for Boost and Virgin. No pricing or release date came along with it, so I wonder if Sprint announced early to counteract Straight Talk.
Net 10 offers the Galaxy S3 for $469 on ATT prepaid towers. That would be my choice.
I just got my st galaxy 3 for $399.00. I absolutely love it.
Straight Talk is one of the better plans because there is never a contract and it only costs $45 per month for unlimited talk, text and data! What can go wrong with that!
