Helio

Helio was a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that launched in 2006, targeting a younger demographic with innovative features like unlimited text messaging and data plans at a time when such offerings were rare. The brand was known for its stylish phones and social networking features but struggled to compete against larger carriers. After a period of financial difficulty, Helio was acquired by Virgin Mobile USA in 2008, and the brand was eventually discontinued. This is Prepaid Reviews’ historic archive coverage of the carrier.
