Virgin Mobile introduces text service for Valentine's Day
nonholiday, Virgin Mobile is cooking up something different altogether. No, there isn’t a nifty new Oyster or Super Slice. Rather, they’re introducing a service called Let’s Have Txt. You get it? Ha! I knew you were a sharp one. Not everyone has the capacity to understand such an intricate pun. They’re also calling it “Promiscuous TXT” (another uber-clever pun), and it’s available now. Once you get to the Promiscuious TXT website, you’ll see a number of choice. You can click on a 50s housewife if you like housewives. You can click on the half-naked, greased-up fireman if you’re into that sort of thing. When I gave this a try, I had a tough choice to make. See, I really do like my secretary, Mrs. Bunningham. She’s a wonderful lady. Stays late with me when I’ve got mounds of work, gets me coffee first thing in the morning. But I really have this thing for Sexbots. So I figured I was doing myself a disservice to not pick it. And then I saw this: And I’m not really into Sexbots anymore. Seriously, this is a colossal waste of time. Not that wasting time is a bad thing, or means this service is bad. By the way, the only video live right now is the Sexbot. No idea when the others will become available, but something’s telling me that it’s not technology holding them back. My only real question is: What does this have to do with text messaging. It seems like a cleaner version of IM sex. ]]>
