Boost Offering Free Phone

One of the most expensive parts of a prepaid plan is actually purchasing the phone.  So, in an effort to lure more customers, Sprint-owned prepaid company Boost Mobile has introduced a new promotion that could land new customers with a free phone or a discount on a phone. In order to take advantage of this deal, customers must port to Boost Mobile from any non-sprint related carrier or MVNO and purchase at least one month’s worth of service on a plan valued at $35 or more. The free phone promotion does not include taxes and can only be redeemed at official Boost Mobile stores–not including resellers like Walmart or Best Buy. You can find a list of stores by entering your zipcode here and clicking “customer support.” Look for the locations with the orange and black Boost symbol. Here are some of the phones you could get for free:
  • LG Volt
  • ZTE Speed
  • Motorola Moto E
  • Nokia Lumia 635
  • LG Tribute
Alternatively, customers also have the option of taking $100 off of select phones including the ZTE Warp Sync, ZTE Max, pre-owned iPhone 5c and pre-owned iPhone 5s models. All of these phones will include additional cost to the consumer. Boost Mobile has some pretty competitive plan offerings which start at $35 per month and, of course, have absolutely no contract.]]>

That’s a pretty good deal. The Moto E is a good budget phone and Boosts service is good for the price. Other than the occasional delayed text messages I haven’t had any service related issues in a very long. However, their customer service is very poor at resolving issues you may have. I have had better luck getting issues fixed by visiting a Boost store.
