Boost Updates Eligible Phone List

Boost Mobile is owned by Sprint and thus is subject to Sprint’s ridiculous and complicated policies for activating devices on its network. The Sprint blacklist is constantly changing, and it looks like the most recent changes are mostly to remove WiMax devices from the lineup, with one surprising exception: the Samsung Galaxy SIII. I’m not sure what prompted Boost to remove this popular device from their list, as it’s not exclusively WiMax like many of the others. Devices removed from the list include the HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO 4G, HTC EVO Shift 4G, Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Epic 4G Touch, and of course the Samsung Galaxy S III. Devices added include the iPhone 5c and Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which is pretty nice. Here’s the full list of phones supported right now:

In order for phones to be activated on Boost, they must be eligible Sprint devices. Additionally, Boost Mobile does state that it does not guarantee that BYOD devices will work perfectly on its network and states that it’s possible there will be issues with MMS.
