Cricket employs creative maintenance practice
August 18, 2010/
Cricket just got the BlackBerry, and now they’re picking blackberries themselves. This really is an odd story, found on Engadget, regarding a new maintenance practice. As the story goes, Cricket had problems with plant growth — specifically blackberries — at some of its base stations in Oregon. Instead of removing the plants manually, Cricket hired goats to eat away at the brambles. There’s no mention of exactly how well it worked, but if they notice an improvement they could try this elsewhere, which could save some cash on clean-up costs. ]]>
