Cricket introduces Motorola ROKR Z6m
December 11, 2007/
We love Cricket’s flat-rate, unlimited calling and texting plans. We love rock ‘n’ roll. So it stands to reason that we’d love Cricket’s newest offering, the Motorola ROKR, a slider phone that plays your favorite tunes. We’ve seen a ton of these released through the major carriers, but very few of them exist on regional carriers like Cricket and MetroPCS.
“The handset comes loaded with useful features that we think our customers will appreciate, especially the integrated music player. This serves as a phone and an MP3 player in one sleek package. The ROKR is a stylish, iconic handset that delivers a full music package wrapped in a head-turning design,” [T. Scott Edwards, senior vice president of Cricket] said in a press release. It features Bluetooth capability, including “Bluetooth stereo support of Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP).” The camera is 2 megapixels and is video-capable. And for all of those files you’ll want to transfer to the phone, it has a USB 2.0 port. The downsides: memory and price. It only supports up to 2 GB of expandable memory, meaning you’ll have to change your song selection frequently. And the price is $299.99, far more than what some are willing to spend on a phone. But if you’re with Cricket, you could do worse. [TMCnet]]]>
