Cricket releases Kyocera Zio
August 27, 2010/
Remember last week when we heard that Cricket would launch the Kyocera Zio on August 21? Turns out that got pushed back a few days. It’s available now, for $249.99. If you buy it from Cricket’s website you get an additional $20 discount, so the prepaid Android device can be yours for just $229.99 plus tax. ]]>

As nice as this phone looks, I still prefer my Tracfone. I thought about switching to Cricket but I just don’t think there service could be as good as Tracfones is.
I checked their website and i cant find this phone any where on it ? ? ? ?
Just trying to help folks out because I spent a lot of money on this thing and I am not happy with it. The battery life is the worst Ive ever seen. I’ve had this thing for three weeks now, was FULLY charged when I went to bed and the battery was dead when I woke up 9 hours later. I charge it 2-3 times a day. It freezes up constantly. As far as apps and stuff go it’s a really cool phone. There are still some limitations because its prepaid there are some things you can’t do, but otherwise an awesome phone when its not freezing up. I agree about the text messages too. I will get the second half of a text and then half an hour or sometimes an hour later finally get the first half. Im 28, so when I couldn’t get all of my notifications to come immediately to my phone like on an iphone I had several teengers look at it (they know about all this stuff more so than I do!!!) and there are still some features that are lacking. I would say that this is a great phone for your kids if you wanna save some money vs At&t, or someone that doesn’t use their phone a lot. But if you’re in it for features or need a reliable phone for work purposes and receiving important messages, definitely look elsewhere!
