Click for larger When Cricket said that it would add a number of smartphones to its lineup, it wasn’t kidding. We’ve seen them add a few, such as the BlackBerry Curve and the Kyocera Zio, and now they’re at it again. Via Engadget we learn that they will soon release the Huawei Ascend, a handset long rumored to land on the carrier. It seems like a great value. The screen measures 3.5 inches, though I haven’t seen any information about the resolution. I also haven’t seen anything about processor speed, but I’d bet its in the 700 to 800MHz range. It runs Android 2.1, so it’s not too far behind the times. Cricket says it will be available in mid-October for $150. You can eventually get it at Cricket’s website.]]>
