The new MetroPCS dealer down the street Well, we knew that MetroPCS was going to roll out networks in New York and Boston by the end of the second quarter this year, but we had no idea they’d be doing it in the first half of the first quarter. According to the company’s press release the service will be available in New York’s five boroughs, plus Newark, Jersey City, and Paterson, New Jersey. In the Boston area they’ll cover the city (of course), Worcester, Providence, Rhode Island, and Manchester, New Hampshire. You can check out all of Metro’s plans on their website.
“These launches truly are a significant milestone for MetroPCS because it is a continuation of our expansion into the Northeast,” said Roger D. Linquist, chairman, president and chief executive officer of MetroPCS. “Our flat-rate, unlimited, low cost, service plans make MetroPCS an affordable, worry-free and planned expense for all value-oriented consumers looking to reduce extra spending and streamline their budgets in today’s economy. With our unlimited service, customers can save significant money each month by eliminating their home phone and having only one phone — their MetroPCS phone.”This will surely cause for quick growth upon Metro’s 5.4 million subscribers. New Yorkers like to talk a lot, and Metro gives them that capability at an affordable price. Customers on the $45 and $50 plans can take advantage of Metro’s nationwide roaming agreement, which draws from a number of carriers, including rival Leap Wireless.]]>
