MetroPCS eyeing Galaxy S for LTE

MetroPCS might have the only commercial LTE network in the country right now, but they don’t exactly have the handsets to back it. Right now it is limited to the Samsung Craft, which was met with a scathing review from PhoneNews.com. That won’t always be the case, of course. In fact, as Maisie Ramsay of Wireless Week reports, MetroPCS will be in the market for a Samsung Galaxy S handset for its LTE network. “We’re certainly going to be on the very high end with a Galaxy-type Android offering,” said MetroPCS CFO J. Braxton Carter. Getting such a handset wont’ be cheap, especially without a subsidy, but I’m sure it would still go over well. The Galaxy S series has been met with praise, and getting that with LTE speeds seems like a dream. ]]>
