MetroPCS getting Samsung Admire

Back in July we learned that MetroPCS would get the Samsung Admire sometime in August or September, as a back to school promotion. It appears that they’re right on track with that, as they announced the Admire yesterday. It’s an Android touchscreen phone that has all of the basics. It even has Android 2.3, which is the newest version of the software. Unfortunately, we know little more than we did last month when we first learned of the device. MetroPCS did not attach a release date or a price to the Admire, but it figures to be around $150, and should probably launch before the month is over. In the meantime, you can check out an unlimited plan for the Amire at MetroPCS’s website.]]>

Hey, Samsung seem to rolling out the Androids with serious intent now. I just saw a video of tracfone also releasing their Samsung Galaxy Precedent, which is also an Android phone. The cost of the phone is the same as what MPCS are charging too. The only difference now is only the the unlimited plan from ST for $45 a month. Don’t know if Metro have adjusted their plans to become competitive with that floor price…anybody?
