MetroPCS readies Huawei M750
May 15, 2009/
It looks like MetroPCS won’t be getting just one new phone, they’ll be getting a pair. Just a few days ago we saw that the ZTE C90 passed through the FCC, and was wired for Metro’s network. Today it’s the Huawei M750, the large-screened device pictured above. Despite its semi-flashy exterior, the M750 is pretty basic, featuring a 1.3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth. Not a ton is known about the device right now, since it just went through FCC inspection. In fact, we only know it’s slated for MetroPCS because it bears the company’s logo (as opposed to the ZTE model, which we ascertained because it was wired for AWS and because Metro is the only American carrier with ZTE phones). More info as it becomes available.]]>

It’s schedule for release later this month, either the 19th or the 26th.
I just bought this phone today from Metro. Learning to use it now. So far so good. Just like other companies with full touch screens, vibrating keyboard, nice screen resolution. I got mine for 260 dollars.
i want this phone so bad…

I too just purchased this phone from Metro yesterday… sometimes when texting your finger will keep hitting buttons you don’t want to hit because they seem to be too small or too close but over all I like it… very nice

YOU CAN ACTUALLY BRWOSE THE INTERNET YOU JUST HAVE TO GO THROUGH GOOGLE TO GET EVERYTHING
Just got this phone today. My previous phone was the LG VX3200. A flip phone and a dino. I have to say that I really like this phone. If you are looking for iPhone capability then don’t get it. It’s not a smart phone and the browsing is “very” limited.” Meaning, don’t expect a full Web page. Matter of fact. Expect much less. For me it’s fine. Don’t really care about the camera but it takes just OK pics (1.3 MP). I have GPS which is cool but you have to have a plan that includes that. Same with IM which I have (AOL and MSN). Can play games too (Just downloaded Galaga). I’m hooked into my work e-mail via POP and my Yahoo mail which is cool too. Very easy to set up. The phone itself doesn’t feel cheap. It’s got some weight which I like. The display is really good. Very bright. There is no rotation of the screen when you turn the phone that I have discovered. I’m an IT prof and I like this phone. It doesn’t go overboard with bell’s and whistle’s. If you are looking for that then pay the price for the Samsung Finnesse. Also, this is not a text messaging phone unless you have tiny fingers. The phone comes with a stylus and one extra in the pack if you lose one. You also get crappy ear buds and a wall charger. For my needs I give the phone 4 stars. But then again I’m coming from a 4yo outdated flip-phone.
BTW – There is no YouTube video or video of any kind on this phone. Hopefully that will come with a software upgrade in the future. And if it’s of any consequence to you, as far as I can tell you cannot talk on the phone while it’s hooked up to the charger. I may be wrong on that but from what I see the phone goes black when it’s charging.
Note: You don’t have to go through Google to get access to a Web address. When in MetroWeb click on “Options.” Scroll down to #8. The command is “Go to URL.” Type the address u want to go to and it does. No Google involved.
Correction: The phone operates as expected when charging. You can call or perform functions when in charging mode. Also, I went to myxer.com for ringtones and the site flawlessly communicated with my phone and allowed me to download what I selected. Had a few issues but I think it was on my end.
I’m buying this phone 2marrow should i get it
I am thinking of getting this phone and I wanted to know if there are any other issue with it. Such as dropped calls or the phone re-starts like my samsung does all the time. Also does anyone know if with the other samsung touch screen phone are you able to look at youtube videos. I am not much of an internet person but that is one feature I was interested in.
where can you get free games for the huawei m750? ive looked at a few sites and it says not a supported type.
is the phone really worth it? and is texting hard on it or wat
It’s not a texting friendly phone unless you have micro finger’s. Are your fingers about the size of a stylus?
I got this phone a wk ago and I like it. The only problem that the phone has is the music player don’t work correctly. Even after I got a new micro card. Had to take it back to metropcs and they had to order a relpacement phone. Software problem with the music player. Never the less the over all proformance of the phone is great. I agree with B it’s hard texting because the Qtm keys are so small.
This phone looks sooooo cool! im gonna have it by tommorow i cant wait
The one thing that I need and the phone does not do it is voice dialing from the blue tooth. This is very inportant for safely using you phone while driving. You can talk using bluetooth but you cant voice dial…you have to dial normally
I bought the Huawei M750 approx 2 weeks ago. I have nothing but trouble with it. the phone is NOT user friendly and continually blacks out. Metro PCS has replaced it with an exact duplicate twice already and will not return the phone and let me get one that actually works. How do I get them to stand by their 30 day’ no questions- refund policy’? Please advise: 916 969-2427
cant the music player working
I love this phone but How the music player works ???
i really want this phone but everyone is saying bad reviews on it i went to the metro PCS store and i tried out the phone its good but txting ”fat fingers” some of u r asking how to work the mp3, well go to google type in huawei m750 review, then the first website says huaweim750(phone Arena) then scroll down to the reviews and read the review that says got it, tried it, love it read it ; hope this helpss :]
i like this phone better than the lg neon
🙂
I’ve had the phone for about a week now and i’m pretty happy with it. although it is a great phone for the average person that does’nt require much, i have decided to trade mind in for the finesse after buying my daughter the mytouch. After seeing what that phone does i had to switch phones. The huawei750 is a basic touchscreen phone that looks beautiful but like my 13yr old daughter said ( its boring).
its a great phone if you know how to use it correctly i put music and pics with my memory card
my mom wont get it 4 me though she says i have 2 buy it.i told her im a 12 yr old with no money and she still doesnt care then she bought my bother a cell phone
stuck between this one and the lg imprint. was hoping to update to the huawei but i heard the text messaging sucks and that could me a problem for me. so any suggestions?
umm does this phone have games
NO GAMES!—Had this phone for a few months now—-and it’s ok—-very basic—internet not that exciting and slow—-good memory—but texting is not user friendly—and NO GAMES!!!!
Have had this phoe 2 months, have had it replaced with exact phone 3 times. Echos, drops calls, when it rings pushing ANY button will NOT make it stop. I have to turn the phone off to make it stop ringing. Txting buttons are TINY. it is however a pretty tough phone. it has been dropped and no scratches, dings nothing. but Metro needs to do something about the “no replacing with a different phone” policy. I mean mine has been replaced 3 times, do they honestly think I want the same phone a 4th time!?
