Frawg Wireless Gets LTE

NTelos is one of those companies that we don’t talk about very much because their prepaid brand, Frawg Wireless, is not really all that exciting. However, nTelos recently expanded their LTE to cover several new areas and is now allowing 4G speeds for their prepaid as well as postpaid customers, which finally makes it noteworthy. Frawg Wireless uses the same Sprint network that nTelos does, and prior to this recent change, only 3G speeds were allowed. Customers must, of course, have a 4G compatible phone in order to take advantage of the faster speeds. Plan options haven’t changed, but they are still pretty competitive. All plans include unlimited talk, text and low speed data. Here’s what their monthly prepaid plans look like:
  • $35 – 1 GB high speed data
  • $45 – 5 GB high speed data
  • $55 – 10 GB high speed data
Frawg also has a unlimited voice only plan for $20 and offers a $2 pay-per-day or a pay-per-minute options (rated at $0.10 per minute/$0.20 per text/$3 for data access per day) for customers needing a bit more flexibility. Data plans are also available. In addition to this, nTelos also recently announced that they will be expanding their LTE network into parts of Virginia and West Virginia. Frawg customers should see faster speeds in those areas as well. You can check the coverage map here. For more information on Frawg Wireless or nTelos, visit the nTelos website.]]>
