Giv Mobile Reduces $35 Plan

Giv

Giv Mobile, a T-Mobile MVNO, has lowered the price of one of its more popular plans this month in order to be more competitive versus other T-Mobile prepaid plan. The $35 plan, which includes 1 GB of high speed data with unlimited talk, text and low speed data, has been reduced to $30. This reduction in price will take place immediately and customers should see the change on the next monthly renewal. The reduction in price is a small detail, but puts the company in line with other T-Mobile MVNOs. When factoring in the 8% monthly donation to charity that makes Giv Mobile really stand out, the company is looking pretty promising in my opinion. Here is what Giv’s plan options look like right now:
  • $20 – Unlimited talk and text, 250 MB low-speed data, $1 international call credit
  • $25 – unlimited talk, text and 2G data, $2.50 international call credit
  • $30 – unlimited talk, text and 2G data, 1 GB high speed data, $5 international call credit (formerly $35)
  • $40 – unlimited talk, text and 2G data, 2 GB high speed data, $5 international call credit
  • $60 – unlimited talk, text and 2G data, 4 GB high speed data, $5 international call credit
Of all of the T-Mobile MVNOs out there, I think that Giv Mobile has to be one of my favorites. Not because its plan options are anything super groundbreaking (although they are pretty nice) or because of the service, but because it allows consumers to to a charity of their choice every month. It’s a pretty neat model and I absolutely love it. And it would appear that I’m not the only one as the company has donated more than $125,000 since its launch in 2013, which is no small sum.
