GoSmart Makes Double Data Permanent

T-Mobile’s GoSmart MVNO launched a double data promotion in November that echoed Boost Mobile’s very successful promotion. The promotion was originally expected to end on Feb. 1 but Prepaid Phone News has reported that GoSmart will be making the promotion permanent, with one small change to the $35 plan. Here is what the data for the plan lineup will look like:

  • $25 – no data included; Facebook and Wifi only
  • $35 – 2.5 GB (originally 500 MB, doubled to 1 GB during promotion)
  • $40 – 5 GB (originally 3 GB, doubled to 6 GB during promotion)
  • $45 – 10 GB (originally 5 GB, doubled to 10 GB during promotion)
These changes are expected to go into effect on Feb. 2. All four plans include unlimited talk, text, MMS, low-speed data and unlimited access to Facebook and Facebook messenger. While GoSmart uses T-Mobile’s network, it does not offer LTE like other T-Mobile brands. The high speed data is, instead, HSPA+ which is slightly slower but still better than 3G speeds.
