RingPlus Debuts New June Promotions

RingPlus has debuted a number of changes and such in the last few weeks including a new plan lineup and the debut of a free plan for users. Now through the end of June, there are two different promotions aimed at new and current customers looking to make the most out of RingPlus.

Switch and Save Promo

This promotion is going on now through June 25, 2015 and will allow RingPlus to waive the porting fee for all customers porting to RingPlus from Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile company (includes an MVNO running one of those three networks). As RingPlus runs on Sprint, Sprint MVNOs are not eligible for this promo. Additionally, all customers porting to Ring Plus will be given a free $5 top up for your RingPlus account! This promotion is only available to new customers.

The Big $8 Gig Promo

Once the Switch and Save promo is over, all current customers can take advantage of the next deal which runs from Thursday, June 25 to Sunday, June 28. With this promotion, customers can purchase 1 GB data add-on for just $8. This add-on will autorenew until terminated, but there are some conditions:

• Offer only available to RingPlus Members who have active accounts during the promo period
• Data will expire in 30 days; Unused data will not roll over
• Offer is not available for hotspots, tablets, data-only devices (meaning you must have a plan) or cell phones used as data-primary devices.

There seems to be some confusion by what, exactly RingPlus means by the last bit: “cell phones used as data-primary devices” but it does seem a little vague to me. Also seems a little fishy that RingPlus has so many conditions for data that users purchased. At least the $8 for 1 GB isn’t too bad of a price.
