Page Plus responds to issues regarding usage levels
Page Plus had been getting people off their unlimited Talk & Text plan for using too many minutes or texts. It seems odd, at least to me, that a company could advertise unlimited services but then penalize customers for taking advantage of it. That’s happening, though, and according to a follow-up on PhoneNews.com, Page Plus doesn’t think it’s a big deal. Apparently, if everyone else is doing it, it’s okay. Since other MVNOs and carriers punish customers who use too much of an unlimited service, it’s okay that they do it, too. Clearly, much of the issue might be out of their hands. They do, after all, buy network space wholesale from Verizon. Still, if it says unlimited, it should be unlimited. If customers who talk too much are penalized for using the service, then it shouldn’t be allowed to be advertised as unlimited. I don’t think that’s unreasonable at all. ]]>
I agree. Doesn’t “unlimited” mean I’m able to talk and text as much as I want? How can you talk or text too much on an unlimited plan?
Just to clarify, Page Plus has acted on their terms and conditions that are on their website. The terms clearly state what “abuse of usage” is. While there has not been action taken on this in the past, they are now holding customer’s accountable for following these policies. If you are a dealer, I would highly suggest you read them and make your customers aware before activating their service to avoid future issues and returns. However unfortunate, it is a common policy in the unlimited arena. I also think it is important to note that I do not work for Page Plus. I just want everyone to be aware of why this happens so customers can be educated.
Page Plus is “not in the business of being nice” so don’t ask them for anything, let alone “unlimited”.
I was sorry I switched to PP after just two months. They have the most rude, unhelpful CS ever, and I’ve dealt with some bad ones.
This is just the last straw. I going back to NET10 unlimited, I hear they relaunched it. I never had trouble with them, no matter how much I used the phone.

Page Plus is full of crap. I had over $600.00 in my account. every month they took 39.95 out. NO PROBLEM. then the plan change to $44.95 a month. NO PROBLEM. The problem is now I had $300.00 left in my account an page plus took it all this month, July 2010. I called supervisors and they told me very NASTY. too bad and they cannot credit me back. not even a penny. they said that I cannot expect them not to take all of my money, when I pay ahead of time. I spoke with 7 different reps. I kept trying to get a rep to help me. now today at 9:18 am I tried once more. I spoke with the first nice rep: David. He said he cannot credit me nor do anything for me. so I asked. and I believe that it is recorded at page plus. IS IT PAGE PLUS POLICY TO STEAL MONEY FROM PEOPLES ACCOUNTS AND NOT CREDIT THEM BACK. HE SAID YES. I EVEN ASKED AGAIN IF IT IS OKAY FOR PAGE PLUS TO STEAL MY MONEY AND IF THAT IS THEIR POLICY, AND HE SAID YES IT IS. THE CALL WAS MADE AT 9 OCLOCK TODAY 19 JULY AND ANSWERED BY DAVID AT 9:18. I CALLED FROM MY PAGE PLUS PHONE: NUMBER 352-404-3236. MY PAGE PLUS BILL IS DUE IN 3 DAYS AND THEY STOLE MY BALANCE OF $300.00 SO MY PHONE WILL BE TURNED OFF. PAGE PLUS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE GUY. VERIZON WIRELESS SHOULD NOT LET PAGE PLUS DO THIS TO CUSTOMERS. VERIZON WIRELESS SERVICE WITH PAGE PLUS BEHIND THE SCENES TAKEING ALL THE MONEY. A friend told me about page plus cuz she is a user, and i was interested and decided to order a phone(samsung M800 instinct) from a authorize page plus dealer( http://www.pageplus dealer.com)on the 4th of august and until today i have not receive the phone and when i call their office, nobody will pick up and i will be ask to leave a voice mail or to write them by e-mail, which i did like 20 times and i have never gotten a reply. in fact this people are no good news, they are bad.I really need somebody to tell me what to do cuz my money is gone and i think my account is in trouble too because i use my card to make the payment online
