Moto G 2nd Gen Available Today

moto G second Gen

Following up one of their most popular models, the Moto G, Motorola has released a second-generation Moto G that has a larger screen, a better camera and a memory slot. It’s priced at under $200 unlocked off-contract, which is awesome, and it looks pretty snazzy too, which is never a bad thing. Here’s an overview of what’s under the plastic:
  • Android KitKat 4.4
  • 1.2 GHz quad core processor
  • 5 inch screen
  • 8 or 16 GB memory
  • SD card slot
  • SIM card slot
  • 8 MP back camera
  • 2 MP front camera
  • 2,070 mAh battery
  • 2 front-facing speakers
  • 2 mics
  • customizable back casing
The one downside to the second-gen Moto G is that it doesn’t have LTE. The original Moto G didn’t either, so maybe this new model will get an LTE spin-off as well. I haven’t seen any specifics about who will carry the new Moto G, but unlocked is better for prepaid anyway. The phone goes on sale this afternoon from Motorola’s website, so hop over and take a look! If you want a preview before you buy, check out Phone Scoop’s hands-on review. It’s looking pretty good, and nice to see Motorola continuing to listen to their consumers.]]>
