Add Smart PCS to no-contract, unlimited calling crew
consumers are already turning to prepaid options, and that activity figures to increase over time, as people’s contracts will run out. A new player will join the game, bringing flat-rate, unlimited calling plans. That’s Smart PCS, a regional carrier covering parts of Georgia and Tennessee. It’s a small operation, of course, but it could be a viable option for people in that area. The biggest limitation, of course, is the calling area. If you need to travel outside of it, you could be hit with hefty roaming charges. Smart PCS does have a deal, though, with Leap Wireless to roam on its networks. Smart PCS’s plans run from $25 to $55, and like its flat-rate unlimited brethren, each tier adds another set of unlimited service. You can check the specific plans here. Phones run $30 to $350, mostly unsubsidized. However, the carrier has an agreement with ZTE to carry its line of handsets, including the C88.]]>
