Mojo Mobile gains greater distribution

Hey, it’s not everyday that we get news on one of the smaller-name provider reviews here at Prepaid Reviews. After all, the world turns with the bigger names, so we’re constantly reporting on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Alltel, MetroPCS, Leap, etc. So it’s certainly a breath of fresh air to read something about a smaller company. This one involves Titan Global Holdings, which owns Mojo Mobile, among others. They’ve signed a deal with a national retail chain to sell 36,000 handsets in 6,000 additional locations. The name of the retail chain was not disclosed, but the additional 6,000 locations puts Mojo’s availability at 70,000 locations nationwide.

“Titan Wireless continues to add strategic retailers that leverage the advantages inherent in our product offerings,” said Bryan Chance, President and Chief Executive Officer of Titan Global Holdings. “Fred Haumesser and his sales team have done a brilliant job with our wireless products and Glen Jasper has integrated our wireless division and expanded our base of operations to meet this growing demand. We will continue to create value from our wireless division for our shareholders in fiscal year 2008.”
Titan is an MVNO of the Sprint network, so we applaud this move, as it comes at a time when pundits are railing against MVNOs. The people inside the industry, though, know they can work successfully. Take Mojo Mobile, for example. Their niche is the nights and weekends market. As long as you have a balance, you don’t pay a dime for night and weekend calls. That’s a niche that’s both attractive and affordable. We’ll see if this boosts Mojo’s stature at all. Our gauge; if they get another mention in a news outlet. [TMCNet]]]>
