Simple Mobile Plan Overview

Simple Mobile is, well, unsurprisingly simple. Originally founded in 2009, Simple Mobile was purchased by Tracfone in 2012 and currently operates as a subsidiary company of Tracfone. They work on T-Mobile’s GSM network. Simple Mobile is a pretty successful company with nearly 2.5 million subscribers since 2009. As far as plans go, Simple Mobile really only has a few options, which makes choosing the right option very easy. All of the unlimited plans expire in 30 days, and while it does say ‘unlimited’ they have a condition that ‘abnormal’ usage may be throttled or interrupted. All of the Unlimited plans include unlimited talk, unlimited text and unlimited international text. Here’s an overview of the mobile options:
  • $25 – unlimited talk, text, international text. No data.
  • $40 – 1 GB high speed data, unlimited lower speed
  • $50 – 3 GB high speed data, unlimited lower speed
  • $60 – 5 GB high speed data, unlimited lower speed
Simple mobile also offers several international long distance options for customers who call international long distance numbers frequently. On these plans, you get unlimited calls to select international destinations. These plans also include unlimited talk, text, international text and low speed data with a limited amount of high speed data. Here are the options:
  • $50 – 1 GB high speed data
  • $60 – 3 GB high speed data
  • $70 – 5 GB high speed data
They also have a pay as you go add-on which costs $10 and includes up to 10 unique international numbers from select countries including: Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Peru, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Philippines, Nigeria, Yemen, UK and Canada. The $10 expires in 30 days. Click here for rates. And, last but not least, Simple Mobile also has wireless broadband options that allow for web browsing, emailing, downloading files and general access via tablet, laptop, USB modem or netbook. They aren’t designed for streaming, but I don’t see anything forbidding it in the terms and conditions. Here are your broadband options:
  • $20 – 1.5 GB high speed
  • $40 – 4 GB high speed
  • $60 – 6 GB high speed
Overall, Simple Mobile has pretty good service, decent prices and a very simplistic setup. They also offer some pretty cool options like StashUp and Auto ReUp so that you don’t have to worry about running out of minutes or remembering to renew your plan. Their phone selection is actually pretty good with lots of low, mid and high range options. To get more information, check out their site.]]>

Simple mobile runs on Tmobile. 100 percent. Confirmed. This is old news. Very old. It’s in Wikipedia.
