Tracfone adds 745,000 subscribers in Q3

Tracfone is the nation’s fifth largest mobile provider — and it doesn’t even operate its own network. The company continued to grow in the third quarter, adding 745,000 subscribers to leave them with 16.7 million. These numbers include not just the branded Tracfone service, but also Net10 and Straight Talk.]]>

No surprise here! I’ve used Tracfone for a good 2 years now and couldn’t be happier. It gives me awesome coverage, big savings each month, and a great Motorola phone for a low price. These phones make great holiday gift ideas too 🙂 Def impressed with this service!

I thought MetroPCS is the nation’s 5th largest provider? If Tracfone is now 5th, then is MetroPCS in 4th place? Or 6th?

Tracfone is a great service provider and this does not surprise me. Tracfone and i have been close for years now and thus far i still have not had problems with the service. I bought my mom a tracfone so that i knew she would be safe. I really do trust the tracfone service.

I am pretty sure that tracfone is on the verizon network. The verizon network is number 1!! This is why I love tracfone because it is so cheap and on a really good network!

i bought my mom a tracfone because she refused to get cell service and I knew she needed it. I ended up switching myself and my husband to a Tracfone after seeing how affordable and reliable it is

Probably got a lot to do with the incredible variety the 3 related companies offer…whatever your situation, one of the 3 will have something for you. I know of quite a few friends who have recently switched over from contract to Net10 for two main reasons; the unlimited plan- you know your spending is capped at $50, but usage is totally unlimited, and the flexibility they offer between plans…switching to something less/more, depending on how your usage or budget is looking for the month ahead. Know it works for me!

I’m very happy that tracfone are doing so well. And I’m sure most of the increases tracfone have shown, can be attributed to Straight talk, and Net10. That’s all very well if you are a heavy user, but for a guy like me that likes buying a very small plan at a time, this maybe the time for tracfone to start concentrating again on the small users.

What is so nice about using Tracfone is that you are not locked into a costly contract that has added costs for roaming, texting etc. With Tracfone I feel that I am in control of what I spend on my cellphone and I can spend according to my budget

Tracfone is rocking it! It’s really no surprise given that they have the largest network out of any of the prepaid providers so you don’t have to worry about dropped calls. And if you’re locked intoa contract- I feel sorry for yoU!

I saw a commercial the other day for Boost Mobile, which in my opinion seems like the closest competition to Tracfone based on the selection and prices of phones. But, when I checked out their coverage map, my area would be fair at best. That’s says it all right there. At least with Tracfone, the coverage is nationwide and with the top provider networks, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
