Tracfone scores big with 753,000 new subscribers in Q4

Tracfone, Net10, and Straight Talk. The year 2013 was big for Tracfone in general, with a 13.3 percent increase in subscribers. Much of that goes to the Straight Talk brand, which has captured much of the mid-market with its smartphones paired with affordable monthly plans. People complain plenty about Tracfone customer service, across their brands, but it doesn’t seem to be enough to keep people away. Via FierceWireless.]]>

It’s hard to believe people opt for ST when the Verizon 50 gives you the same thing with exemplary CS.

It’s not hard to see why Tracfone (and its subsidaries) are adding many-many customers in the past year. Pre-paid cells are no longer the ugly step child of the industry. Quality and caliber of offered phones has come along way, you can even get a name brand model or in some cases bring your own. The offered features are outstanding. And the cost (or lack there of) often can’t be beat. Tracfone in particular with their Double and Triple minute options particularlly swayed me. Comparing to other providers, whatever they could offer Tracfone with their minute options either Doubled or Triple their number of minutes for free!
