Could Verizon expand unlimited prepaid plan?

Verizon prepaid. A few months ago they introduced a $50 unlimited talk, text and web plan in limited markets. While only Florida and California customers can currently take advantage of the deal, that might expand nationwide soon enough. According to a MarketWatch report, Verizon COO Fran Shammo said, “The Trial has gone very, very well for us.” He further noted that it didn’t eat into the postpaid sales, as they had feared. If Verizon does expand the plan, titled Unleashed, they’d bring some more competition to an unlimited field that already boasts players such as Boost Mobile, Cricket, and MetroPCS.]]>

In support of how confident Verizon feel about their ability to support their unleashed plan, tracfone’s straight talk brand have just announced th release of the samsung galaxy prevail, an android phone with a good reputation. This android will make use of Verizon’s network infrastructure, and more importantly straight talk’s unlimited everything plan (like the Unleashed plan) for $45 a month. This is surely a vore of confidence in the Verizon’s network capabilities.

Who says the new ST android is going to use Verizon Network? As far as I know, it hasn’t been revealed which network it will use.
