Worst service ever! These people are impossible to understand! No one knows what they are doing. I have been on the phone for two hrs trying to get my phone active because the sim card that came with the phone doesn't match the number in there system. They have transferred me three differant times and everytime they told me the same thing that they need to send me a new sim card.. So why is it that I need to sit on hold and be transferred numerous times so they can tell me the same thing over and over? Completely ridiculous! HATE NET 10!!!

I would give them a zero star review, but the ratings don't go that low.I just went to the Net 10 website and called customer service number because I had added 750 minutes two days ago, and they said it would show up on my phone in twenty four hours. two days later, i had two service days left, and zero point five minutes. I called the number on the website, and after listening to four menus, I was finally on line with a worker. None of the workers had any idea what to do, and they transfered my call to four supervisors, and each supervisor told me the same thing- go to code entry mode, type in *#0, come to parameter 00, and turn the phone off and on. I am currently waiting for another supervisor to give me information. Honestly, the phone itself has no problems. The service is awful though, and adding more minutes is imposable. I DO NOT recommend this phone to anyone anywhere. This is the worst prepaid cell phone I have ever come across yet.

I would love to give them 0 stars as well. I was enrolled in the easy minutes plan for $15.98 a month (with tax). My phone read inactive when 3 people told me on the phone that I was active. Now they want me to send them about $30.00 to reactivate my phone. That is twice the amount that it should be. CS don't understand a single word you say and the supervisors don't know what to do. How stupid is that. I will never suggest Net10 to anyone. I need the phone because I take care of an elderly woman and if something happens to her I need to contact the family immediately. DOWN WITH NET10!!!!!

I just upgraded to my third Net10 phone. It is always a pain to transfer my number to my phone. It took four days last time I upgraded my phone. This time, I was told to call back after 72 hours if my new phone does not activate. I just call the customer service number to tell them my new phone is not active yet. They told me they have to send me a new SIM card for my OLD phone because my old phone number was de-activated somehow. That my cell phone number cannot transfer to my new phone unless my old phone is active. They are the ones who de-activated my old phone. Don't they know what they are doing? If you ever upgrade to a new phone with Net 10, it is really a pain to get it activated. If I don't get my new phone activated soon, I'm switching to a different carrier. I don't mind upgrading to a new cheap Net10 phone every so often, but the process of activating is a real PAIN!

I juat upgraded my phone to the LG620G and am happier than ever with Net10. Yes, their customer service is questionable although not unlike the other companies', but they come through. They cannot be ‘blamed' for their inability to speak English fluently (By the way, how is your Italian?), but they try hard to help the customers. After having three Net10 phones and dealing with them with three TracFones for my parents and sister (Net10 is owned by TracFone and they share their infrastructure – customer service included) I can say that it will take alot for me to switch to another company, after all, to their good service and pricing, they have added much better phones (like the LG620G – a great buy) plus additional calling plans suitable for most needs.

I also would give NET10 0 stars if I could!! I bought my daughter one of there phones for her birthday. When I first activated it they gave me a Massachusets number and I live in Kentucky, when I realized that I called back to get a local number. After talked to rep after rep and being tranfered and transfered for about 4 days. They activated my phone using an Ashland, Ky area code, I could not make calls or recieve them. So I called back again getting tossed around and repeating myself till I was going insane, an error message kept showing up, the first time they had to send a ticket create a ‘ticket' and I was told to call back in 24 hours. I did that kept coming up with this error message and transfering me to tech department while all along I am still repeating myself and telling them they are going to have an error message, and they kept saying oh we understand but give I need the serial number of the phone so I can work on your account, one of the reps came to a conclusion that the tower in my area was not working properly and I the data/ email was not supported in my zip/area and they were going to send me a new phone. Ok, I never got that phone! I called back two later wondering where my new phone was and they seemed to make a mistake in my address and it didn't ship, mistake or not it should have shipped and then been return to sender, right? yeah right, they never sent it out to begin with and not because of the address LOL. Well this rep transfers me to someone else who has no idea what is going on, again having to repeat everything as I am doing now, and says so you are having trouble activating your phone, UH NO! They lady that transfered my to you was sending me a new phone and this new rep is still giving me codes tryng to activate it and still coming up with the same error that I told them they would have, so they send another ticket to tech and tell me to call back in 24 hours again. I wait 24 hours call back and go through the same thing again because of another error message just for them to tell me to call back in another 12hrs and they will that error message fixed, so I wait 12 hours to do that and then go through rep after rep repeating and repeating, till one of them finally says ‘your area does not technically support this phone, meaning the phone would not work in this area period. So I demand to talk with a supervisor and tell them everything that I have just told you, so she is writing up a ticket to send me a knew phone and puts me on hold, I get disconnected! And when I call back I have to repeat myself and the situation to a rep again and demand a supervisor, the one I was previously speaking with, they said it was almost impossible for them to find the same supervisor and transferred to another one so I expained again. Conclusion the phone that I bought is not technically supported in this area or my surrounding areas, and yet they have it on the shelves here, why? I am contacting a lawyer Mon. and I am suing them for false advertising or whatever the case may be. I want compinsated for all this time going around and around with these people because they did not want to admit that the phone I bought did NOT work in this area and I am sure in alot more places. It says nothing about it on its packing, cautions or whatever. Now I am waiting on a new phone, but it will no be the phone my daughter wanted it will be the same phone that I had the day I bought this new one, the one that I gave to my aunt because I thought I didn't need it anymore. So now I am out almost 200.00 because they want me to send the phone I have now back to them when I get the new one that is the same as the one I gave away because I thought I didn't need it. This phone has 750 min on it that cannot be transferred because I cannot get it reactivated! That is 25.00 and the USB cords and stuff I bought for it. That I cannot use that cost 29.99 I will be contacting . The mental stress of all this, is crazy, and having to my daughter settle for less than what she wanted is very hurtful to me and her. If anyone out there has had anyproblems like this or know an attorney that is good and willing to help me. Please let me know, Thanks for caring-mistywalters_78@yahoo.com

All I have to say is that I have been using Net10 for about 2 years. I like the phone and it's features. The only problems that I have had was dealing with customer service. It took forever to get assistance. He also spoke very poor english, and he was hard to understand. Other than that, most of my problems have been minor. Overall I like net10 and would suggested it to others. However, I only really nedded the phone for emergencies, and traveling. You can't beat the price. It is what it is a economy phone service.

Ive used Net 10 since Feb 2005..Nuff said.. And the reason I first tried them was that yes all the major phone carriers pretty much offer 10 cents a minute( not tru a few years ago,but there is a big catch,The 1 dollar a day access fee they charge u,Companies like T-Mobile and Verizon etc charge u 1$ right off the rip to access the network daily so if u use your phone everyday thats 30 bux a month b4 even placing calls..LOL( Thank God for smaller companies like this that keep the BIG MONOPOLIESlike Verizon,Sprint T-Mobile etc on their toes and dropping prices instead of raising them cuz of companies like Net10who force Verizon and others to stay competitive and not just dictate to us what the deal is cuz we have no options( as u can see I hate Verizon and Sprint etc..) Well Ill go on.Its simply the best deal outhere.Ive tried another perpaid service ,and the coverage was not as good as well as far more complicated to do biz with no online help or vending for minutes..Tried Sprint(LOL) Total garbage at stooopid high prices and this AT&T sevice that is used by NET 10 is far superior,I live in NYC area and Sprint blew cbunks, whenever it rained my service crapped out, half the time my calls were choppy and the price of 80 bux a month was outta control..Yes I can say Ive benn frustrated by the overseas customer service( but what company duznt route your calls thru India,Pakistan or the Phillipines these days so that arguement is mute) here and there but hey,its always resolved,if not go drop 15 bux and get a new phone..remeber these are throwawys. But Ive never left customer service with out a resolution.,.Thier deals keep getting better and better 750 minutes for 25$ FTW..Unlimited w/web 50.hey i can do that and do and run my netbook via bluetooth at 3g speeds free anywhere,,lol wooohoooo bite that Sprint, and the same 5 gigs of data transfer rate a month..All in all Ive always come back to net 10 for cheap prices ,AT$T coverage, which has never failed me ..ever..Inexpensive phone so if I lose it or drop it in the water or wherever they are cheap to replace, minutes as low as 5$ at a time if yur in a monetary pinch,NO DAIL ACCESS FEE,an ez website to fill my needs and anonymous service that protects my Identity, they dont need to kno your real info ..I always activate mine at a payphone..I love every single aspect of NET 10..BTW to sum of u who have lost minutes and found service terminated.Ill bet dollars to donuts that your number and minutes were jacked by hackers who sit in cafes or other public areas and run software via their wifi hook up and steal all of your data, minutes and service,This happened to my father onetime, when he got his bill he had over 1000 bux of calls to Colombia and peru, lolprolly drug cartels but who knows, but its simple enuff with free software that your phone data.number carrier etc can all be easily view by thieves anywhere,,All in all NET 10 provides solid CHHEAP service for me for 5 years..YAY me..

Rip-Off-10! Bait and switch at its best. Ordered phone at their website. Deal included 300 free minutes and free overnight shipping, which took six days to get to me. Tried to activate phone – couldn't. Customer service – in the Phillipines – said I was sent the wrong phone. This was a ploy to try to get me to go the unlimited plan. I only wanted 150 minutes a month.Stay away from this company. You will regret it if you dont.Do business with somebody who has a local storefront, so if there are problems, you don't have to call the Phillipines and use computer translation software, which is hard as hell to understand.

I've had the service for 3 yrs now after being caught in the ATT/Cingular/ATT fiasco and spending lots of $$ for lousy service…Simple durable phone (LG model), never go over my minutes, and very easy to reload (so far). Customer service has been ‘fair', although hard to understand the reps… I live in a rural/mountainous area and ATT, Verizon phones were practically useless once they changed to an upgraded system (i'm sure it works fine in the cities…) Good, inexpensive emergency phone.

I decided to try Net 10 because I was tired of dealing with 1-2 year cell phone contracts. I ordered a phone with a 750 minutes card from the Net10 website, and received my new phone within 5 days. I had no problems activating the phone or adding the minutes. I activated through their website. The next day I was playing with my phone and I locked it by putting in the wrong lock code by mistake. I called customer care, and the person I spoke to was very helpful. He talked me through unlocking my phone, and setting a new lock pin so that I wouldn't (stupidly) lock my phone again. I didn't find the wait time excessive, nor did I have a hard time understanding the person I spoke with. Maybe I just got lucky, because there seems to be a lot of complaints about their customer service. But I'm giving them 4 stars for now… so far, so good.

No, I would not give them 1 star, I would give them 0 star's.Basically, a con. I baught 750 mins, which was fine until the second month and they decided to doubble the cost of text messages. It costs 1 minuet to read and send each text message, even if the message is only one word! The service failed to activate, so I needed to call them twice to get it going, they charge you to use the customer service, and the second time i needed to top up, it didnt work, so I had to spend more time and money on the phone to them. STAY AWAY!

They can barely speak English and sound like they are in a crowded bar. I can barely hear them over the background noise. At least a half hour to wait for Supervisor! Just got thru to supervisor – they say they have no record of me needing a new SIM Card!!!DO NOT USE NET10!!!

I've had Net 10 for a few years and have been reasonably satisfied with their products and service. However the latest phone I purchased was a Motorola EM326G. This phone, for me, is almost a complete piece of trash. The first one was bought online, didn't work correctly, and they sent a new sim card after arguing and debating with ‘customer service' for an hour about whether I'm to blame for it's shortcomings. The sim card changed nothing, they sent a new phone, and that one proceeded to live down to the quality of the first one. I asked a rep about a new, non-motorola phone and was told ‘no, but we can send you another EM326G.' I was told in so many words in order to fix my problem that I needed to spend more of my money to fix it. I couldn't believe the crap these people will say just to get me off the phone and back to the next sucker who buys their garbage. I really felt they just kept blowing me off until I gave up. What I really want say includes more profanity then I'd normally use, but I digress. The latest bit of idiocy goes like this. I went to the local Fred Meyers who have a LG900 on sale for $39.99 down from $59.99. I asked the clerk if he had any, so he took a look and then checked the computer. ‘Display Only' was his response. They've never had one in stock nor will they ever get one because according to Net 10 they no longer sell them!? WTF, it took three e-mails and the actual advertisement sent as an attachment to get someone at Net 10 to give me a straight answer. Fred Meyers has no idea that Net 10 is one giant stinking moldy turd of company. I could rant for hours about their lack of integrity or credibility, and even reliability but damn it's just bringing me down to bitch this much about my problems when the best thing I can do is take my business elsewhere. My minutes are up tomorrow, so FY Net 10!!!

I have been a Net10 customer for over 5 years, and I must say, I've enjoyed the service and all the money that I've saved. During that time, I never ran into a problem…until now. This past weekend my Net10 service became inactive, even though I still have 580 minutes and over 365 days of service–this was displayed in my phone under Airtime Info.I contacted Net10 and the operator told me that the service was no longer active. This I could not understand. My phone stated differently. Without giving a reason, the operator suggested that I send a check or money order of $65.33 to the Net10 offices in Florida. This left me confused. Why was I paying a fee to get my service restored when my phone stated that my service days weren't expired yet?I don't know what is going on, but I think it's time to consider switching to a different company.

I agree it can be hard to understand the customer service reps' poor english. But for those of you having trouble transfering your number, once the phone that you had your number transfered from is deactivated and you try to use your new phone and it says welcome to verizon wireless, the trasfer is complete on their end. They are having tech trouble with completing it on your phone. At this point all you need to so is call cs and say that you trasfered your number and you need to do it manually on the phone with codes they will give you codes to enter on your phone and when your done it will work. Yea I had to do this with my phone. As far as the phone itself, I have a samsung 451c and I really like it. Does everything I need it to do and I enjoy when people get quiet when I ask them how much they pay a month for their contract phone after telling them how much I pay for mine.

I thought I was getting a good deal until I had to call the 800 number to register my new Net 10 phone. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered, I think they outsource it to some other country because half the time I can barely understand them. To begin with on the 18th I ordered the Motorola 326g on Net 10 website with the $50 monthly plan and tried activating/transferring my number to the new phone. After an hour with the rep we discovered the phone was defective (the lcd wasn't working properly),however we he was able to get my number transferred and the phone activated. So they sent another phone out. When that arrived I tried activating that one too but my number did not transfer. So for another hour I was talking with a supervisor and atthe end of the call he said it would be transferred over and should workin about another hour. Well it didn't and by that time I had no way to call them back so I emailed thier customer service department. No response back from anybody. When I finnally was able to contact them I have been without phone service for 9 days total (Once they transfer your number from another company, that company closes your account and service) and my prepaid plan counting down without being able to use it. Then it took another hour on the phone with a supervisor just so she can tell me they will have to send out another sim card, taking another 3-5 days. I asked once again about overnighting the sim card, I guess they never heard of that kind of shipping! I think I have been patient enough and should have had this sent out overnight! This is the worst service I have ever experienced with any company. I asked if they were going to send out another 30 day prepaid card since it will be half used up but never used by me. I didn't get a response back. By the time I get an operating phone it will probably be 2-3 weeks without phone service and 4 hours of commulative talk time with thier reps.By the way Net 10, Tracphone, and Straight Talk are all the same company. I am filling a complaint with the BBB and they only have the parent company listed as Tracphone.

this is the cheapest available service in US. Have been using them for 3 summers, as I only spend 4 months a year in the States. I've had to call customer service once and it was outstanding. Can't really believe people saying the put them on hold so to eat up their minutes. Sounds rediculous,as they already have enough subscribers to make their money from regular calls. However there are some cons. If you want more complex service than just texting and calling than yes- you might consider another company. Phones are really basic, it's hard to swith a number to another phone, can't switch a sim card to an unlock phone at all, if you get a lot of minutes an loose your phone or it breaks you'll have hard time getting tem ack / which is not impossible- if you go to radioshack for example and purcase a new net 10 phone, they ‘ll be able to trasfer your minutes from the old one/.

Why would a person pay 25-30 dollars for a basic no frills phone you can get with other prepaid (virgin mobile for example) for free? You wouldn't unless you were mislead into thinking they still offered the 300 minutes with the purchase of a phone. They used to be a good value – no longer. I have only had my net10 phone for 7 years. Never had a problem. Customer service? Never needed it but from all the complaints all I can say is they are no different than any other cell phone company. I don't miss all the nonsense charges from ATT or Sprint. Net 10 uses AT&T network without the hassles. I have two both 50 dollars a month unlimited. One from Boost Mobile and one from net 10. It looks like Boost has new program(it is the old Nextel/sprint and has the radio) longer you have it the cheaper it gets. 50 to 45 to 40.Unlimited. Either of these deals beats the heck out of all of them. Course I used phone to talk on and make calls. Both have unlimited data and bluetooth. With adapter I can run laptop off Boost. Yes it's slow but in a pinch you can read emails and no anything. People who want a cell phone to be a netbook or iphone idiots who have money to waste on AT&T ridiculous rates for data have at it. Why anyone would want that crap is beyond me unless they enjoy wasting money. Ipad is merely a fad a gadget. The new netbooks will run circles around it and some new netbooks are phones too. Google engadget if you want the latest tech. MSN Phone is going to make all your apple junk obsolete. Just add skype or Google talk to netbook. Course if you got an Iphone as an accessory for your Ed Hardy shirt you are beyond help anyway.

WHAT'S GOODSimple straight forward rates: 10 cents a minute. Minimum $15/month, but unused minutes are rolled over. WHAT'S BADCustomer service that is polite to a fault, They have absolutely no authority to make the simplest decisions, without referring to their ‘information' or supervisor. They repeat EVERY request, or information given, and require you to acknowledge they have understood your correctly. They ask you to repeat serial numbers, SIM numbers till your green in the face. They use substandard telephones with lousy fidelity to make understanding them difficult at best. Few if any customer service people are American, but are foreigners many who don't understand English very well. It goes down hill from this.I purchased a phone that was lost/or stolen. I could not get a copy of calls made on the phone without providing them a police report! I simply wanted a copy of the calls to determine if the phone was lost or stolen! When I bought a replacement phone, the one I receive had a back cover that would not click into place for a tight fit. It took me over 2 hours on the phone to go through their procedures to replace a defective phone! The phone they sent me was assigned a different service provider (Tmobile) with a different provider, all without giving me any warning. I told them no way, I had been using AT&T through them and was very satisfied. I was not willing to give up my great experience of 4 years with them for anyone else. And I was not interested in changing phone numbers with all the attendant hassles. They said that would take 5-7 business days. I said no way. You created the problem, you fix the problem with next day service. They would only say they would ‘expedite' the order, but would-not/could-not commit to overnight mail. We'll see. In short, if you have more time than money, and you do not use the phone a lot, they are a reasonable choice. But if you have a low tolerance for lousy service or need more minutes, then keep looking. You won't be happy with Net10.

It is a shame that Net10 has so terrible customer service. If they could only improve in that area and offer more updated devices they would kill the competition because their service is great and their prices are so affordable and varied. OK. I bought this net 10 phone like 2 month ago, and recently, I put 1500 min and 180 days because i almost ran out of the min. i still have 1450 min and 180 service days left, but I cant make or receive any calls or massages. when I make a phone call, a woman says call 911 if it's an emergency. I've been calling customers service, (which is the worst one I've ever experienced.) but they just try not solve the problem. first, i called for 30 min because they kept putting me on hold. it ended up the IT department was closed because it was on saturday. next time they transfered me to like 10 departments and they just hang up. next time (after like 30 min) they asked my other phone # and told me to call me back in 24 hours which never happend. yesterday, after 20 min, they told me the IT department is closed because it was after 4pm. They just hang up if the IT department is open, and tell me the IT department is closed if it's after 4pm or on the weekend. it takes like 30 min in order to get new informations.Could somebody please help me??

Net10/Track Phone SUCKS!Purchased phone for my mother to contact her while in rehab (no phone in rooms). Customer services is SOOOOO Polite with LONG apologies drawn OUT to eat up your MINUTES!! Do not call them from your cell phone.. it uses up all your minutes because they constangly and very politely ask you to hold and hold for this and hold for my supervisor! I was just on the phone for over 20 minutes only trying to ask ONE question before I turn them over to BBB, state of Texas, Net10Sucks and every other site including this one.Can you or can you NOT take of the Voice Mail Call service. I dont want it.. my 87 year old mother doesnt know how to use it or want it.. it goes into voice mail sometimes without even giving one ring and other times on 3-4 4 rings… my mother NEEDS TIME TO ANSWER THE PHONE! I not one time EVER got to talk to her by calling her. It always went to voice mail after I had been assured by supervisor techs it had been taken off.now today I call, after service was cancelled with over 280 minutes still on the phone… to tell them I will not activate the phone if they cannot tell me if they can delete the voice mail service.REPLY: You will have to activate your phone for us to be able to determind that!!!! WTF!!!!I am not going to activate the phone for you to be able to tell me this!!! I have not one time in over two months been able to call my mother on this phone because it goes to Voice Mail BEFORE she can answer and this is your reply!but sir.. the reason you cannot call your mother is because the service isnt activated!! W T F!!!!!!they are the idiots… and this was corporate!! not a call center.. corporate is in Florida and the number is 800 876 5753.Im taking it back for full refund… they can eat it I am not going to..Save yourself from any grief.. do NOT deal with this company!

I wish I could give it 0 stars, sad thing is I still have yet to activate my phone yet and the Customer Service has totally turned me off to the company. I travel often for work and my Boost Mobile (which I had no problems with Customer Service when I had a Problem) doesn't have service in some of the areas I am doing work at. So, I see Net 10 with a pretty large CDMA footprint across the country. I go to switch and port my Boost Mobile number over. Well today is day 4 and I have been given the run around for 4 days. I used the website first and gave all the correct info it asked for about my Boost Mobile account. 24 hours passed, still no change so I called to check on the port. I was told Boost hadn't responded and I needed to call them. I did and Boost said Net10 didn't submit the request with my account number which I provided them. So I call back and inform Net10. Asked to be transferred to the port department and confirmed they had the correct info on me. The rep said he resubmitted it and had an instance response from Boost saying the number is released in 21 hours. Ok, 24 hours pass, still nothing. I call back and am told wait another 24 hours and that they are waiting on Boost Mobile to respond. The rep acknowledges that the rep from the previous day says it would be released in 21 hours. Day 4, I call boost mobile 1st to confirm ans was told number had been released since they resubmitted with the account number. I call Net 10, I am not only told another 24 hours but it could now be 7-10 days. I was on hold for over an hour when I demanded to speak with the port department to give me an explanation. The rep kept trying to get me to hangup and wait another 24 hours instead of transfer. I have contacted CS departments that were outsourced before but at least they had some ability to help, no one on Net10's CS team has any capability to do anything. That No Evil pledge on Net10's website and commercial is a load of garbage. I thought Verizon was the worse for CS, but Net10 makes them look like the best.

I recently switched from at&t to net10 thinking I was going to save $. First, the customer service is in the Philippines and you can barely understand them. Second, they don't want to help you with anything AND IT COSTS $ IF YOU CALL TO PUT $ ON UR PHONE AND TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE! They try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to eat up minutes. If you want unlimited talk text and web, YOU MUST BUY THE CARD THAT SAYS IT. Unlike at&t, you can't just buy a card and chose ur options. I wish i had never switched.

I have used Net 10 on and off for about 6 yrs. I havent had that many problems with them. Customer service is always sucky with all cell phone companys. We changed over to a 2 yr agreement with Verizon, let me tell you that was not fun. We always ended up with hidden fees, being charged out the ying yang for taxes. Signed on for the 59.99 monthly plan for 2 phones and it always ended up being 90 dollars when it was all said and done monthly. I switched back to net 10! Im going to try out there unlimited access at 50 bucks a month for my hubby because he wants to use the web feature for email. Most of what I see and heard from other ppl is it really is only 50 bucks when you pay it monthly. Not sure why there is so much negative feedback. Contract phones are just as bad and you know you have no light at the end of the tunnel to get out of them it takes 2 yrs. If I feel like quitting Net 10 because im broke a month or 2 I just dont buy any mins. No big deal! Just buy more mins when I get more cashflow coming in and it doesnt screw my credit history!

Great deal either way you go monthly or the unlimited plan. For those complaining about having difficulty with automatically adding minutes using a credit card, get a contract phone. After all I thought the convenience of pay as you go plans was not having a contract.

The phone service is good enough, but the customer service website and information over the phone is designed to wring every last penny from your pocket. You will be so frustrated you'll give up and say ‘Sure, charge my card, I don't care just as long as I don't have to deal with you idiots!' I am beyond ticked off at how difficult they make it to do, what should be a simple transaction.

I've owned a lot of Net10 phones and made a lot of calls to CS, and sure, that can be a horrible experience, but through the years the company has been fair to me. Might be the same people at Straight Talk, but ST CS seems far superior to Net10's. You have to understand the fine print, and make these people understand you. If you buy the new $25 or $50 plans, you will be adhering to their rules. And they are not bad ones at all. I paid $60 a month to Verizon just to say hi and bye, and their customer service here in the USA was much more rude than ST or Net10's. Nothing is perfect. Get the Unlimited plans and you won't be worrying about minutes!

This company should be ashamed. Here is ‘outsourcing' at its best. I have had nothing but trouble with my LG phone that I received about 2 months ago. After several hours on the phone and them accusing me of mistreating the phone (it was 2 weeks old), they finally sent me a replacement phone. That LG phone does the exact same thing!! But since I was so exhausted from calling a week before, I decided to get an old Nokia phone and put the number on it. Again, numerous hours speaking to people I can't understand from Central America and Asia. They keep telling me that the central office is in Florida–who cares if they don't actually answer the phone number one calls for customer service? Anyway, horrible experience. I am now stranded without my contact information and a phone number–no one can help me. Horrible customer service. I can't understand them, and it's not their fault. Here is an American company who sells to Americans and the people in central America and Asia are trying to help us…unbelievable!

Have avoided Net10 for so long now, partly due to the negative feedback on sites. I had family visiting from the UK earlier this year, and with them being here for 2 months, they thought it best they had a back up for reaching me. They came back from the store with a $15 Net10 phone and my initial reaction was Oh no! I ended up having to take back my words! The phone was activated without a glitch, it was really sturdy for its price and the minimum charge really low. They did extensive traveling while here and had absolutely no problems with coverage. They were so impressed, I decided to go out and get one for my son, and 3 months down the line, all I can say is why didn't we try it sooner? would have saved me a considerable amount of money.

The truth is that Net10 deserves five stars overall, but the big (HUGE!) negative mark is their ‘customer service'. It is terrible. Here's a tip: if you speak Spanish or know someone who does, call on their Spanish line. Since the Spanish CSR's are outsourced in Latin America, it is their native language and communication is so much better. To those complaining about minutes being deleted upon loading additional minutes, be mindful that if you are adding ‘monthly plans' (750 Minutes or Unlimited) the ‘old minutes' loaded with the Pay As You Go Cards DO NOT rollover. Read carefully and do not deny yourself of great cellphone service because of a misunderstanding, because apart from Customer Service, Net10 is a great company with exceptional service and so economical.

I've never been lied to so badly in my life, not only do they not honor what their internet says – but even when the invoice that came with the phone says you get so many minutes – they won't give them to you. I got a phone that was an LG phone and really liked it but, couldn't find a headset – not even from LG. What's the point of having music or a FM stereo if you can't use it. Not to mention not being able to even get a headset for this phone. So, I was told to purchase another phone and they would send me that with a headset (which they didn't send) and transfer my minutes – with the new phone I was to get additional free minutes (that they would not honor). Well the phone wouldn't even go to menu, the SIMS card wouldn't work and they wouldn't transfer my minutes back to the other phone or give me my minutes back if they couldn've transfered them back. I feel like – I didn't get the service or product that I was promised and feel that this company is untrustworthy and is deceitful in their business practices. Yes, I do agree with all the others about the customer service and their inability to understand, they seem to go by a text and repeat themselves over and over. Tbey say they understand, but they don't. I wouldn't get a phone from this carrier. I know – they seem to have the best prices and best coverage – but when you have a problem – you will be like me. I've paid for 2 phones and have lost over 800 minutes. They wouldn't credit my card back, said they had to send a check after 30 days. (Only for the phones.) Well, since I paid by credit card – if I don't get the check within 30 days the credit card company will credit me and fight with the company themselves over it. I'm so disappointed with this company – I can't tell you the stress that was involved and hours of trying to get it resolved. I don't think it is resolved even yet – we will see.

I am a new customer of Net10 and when I noticed my minutes were getting kind of low I went to purchase more minutes on my phone plan.Little did I know if you purchase new minutes before your old minutes are gone they delete your old minutes. I did this in the store at Radio Shack. After a call to customer service to see about adding my old minutes back this incredibly rude person who could barely speak clearly enough to understand was my customer service REP. I asked her about getting my minutes back and asked where in the contract documents it says that they delete my old minutes when purchasing new minutes. She told me over and over again my old minutes were deleted after I told her that was not the question I was asking. When I asked her to speak to her manager or supervisor she said that this person was unavailable. I continued to ask about the contract and she told me again that my minutes were deleted and there's nothing anyone can do about it. I asked her if there's anyone else I can speak with and she said that she would not transfer me. She then told me she was the supervisor. I called her a liar and hung up. AFter calling back and speaking to another rep (who was a bit nicer) worked with me to see if we could actually resolve the issue putting in promo codes and my old codes in my phone to see if they would come back up. When he contacted the supervisor on duty (the ‘unavailable' supervisor) then I was told legitimately that my minutes were gone. I will not be purchasing anything else from this terrible company. Finally, It was transfered and activated successfully. One problem is that they did not transfer my mins. The CS personal said that he was unable to transfer my mins but I was not mad at it. Amazingly my days of services was tranfered. I tried to make a call from my new phone however, it takes the call to an automated verizon network voice mail. i switched to Net 10 after one very unpleasant bill (my last) from At&t. I got tired of paying that huge bill for a service that was ok at best, if you can live with drop calls. When I made my decision i knwew I wanted a prepaid phone, so when I found out with net 10 service starte at 15 a month with unlimited roll over and that i could get a samsung slider phone with camera, bluetooth and wireless technology for less than 100 buucks, well it was a no brainer, I'm happy with my decision to switch to Net10.

Question: If I buy the unlimited plan at $50 per month, is $50 all I will be charged on recurring credit card charges? Are there other fees, taxes that add on each month or is $50 the bottom line … $50? Thank you.

I activated my phone a couple of weeks ago. Since then, I have spent a total of 10 hours on the phone with Net10 technical support trying to get my phone to receive and send calls with no luck at all. I have been polite and patient, but I give up. There doesn't seem to be any point in continuing when they obviously can't get my service up. (They have checked and I do have coverage in my area and I have 5 bars signal.)

Net10 phones are very user friendly . I had no problem with it for 6 months in the US. My only problem is the phone does not work in Canada and I wasted $30 in July 2010 to top it off and the minutes have not been added as of Oct 2010

I bought 2 different perpaid added minutes to my net 10 phone. Both cards would not work. I called several times to the 1-800 number and got no where. I would spend 40 minutes on each call. I was told that my phone cards were added to someone elses phone and there was nothing that they could do. The company would not add the minutes to my phone, even though I had the pin code right in front of me. The company would not give my money back. I am out of $60.00 and would never buy a Net10 or Track phone ever!!!!

@ Barbara- quite ‘out there', but I could almost break out in applause! Some valid points- Net10 does offer exceptionally low rates, I've never had an issue with coverage and the best part, no bills or contracts. I also really love their flexibility between monthly plans. Means I can chat a lot over the festive season, and when Jan arrives, and the bank balance is looking shaky, I can switch to the cheapest ($15, 200 minutes) plan. As far as value for money goes, I'd definitely recommend Net10.PS. I've found if you speak slowly and clearly to the consultants, it may take 20 minutes or so to resolve, but most times, my problem gets sorted out without too much of a hassle.

Now I realize that some of these complaints are very much legit, but for others, there should be a review page devoted to all the idiosyncrasies people make in their comments, and all the whining! At 3c/ minute (the $25, 750 minute plan) can you honestly expect customer service to be of the same caliber as that of the contract provider, not only charging you $50-$100 more, PER MONTH, but also tying you into a contract with huge ETFs and hidden costs? We also have people saying the consultants ‘don't speak good English'- rather a grammatically incorrect statement made about others' use of the English language! And still others who speak about being ‘on the phone with ‘talking parrots' from all over the world who only speak a few english phrases and can only understand even less.' These ‘talking parrots' are also human beings, who are always polite and only really doing what they are told to do, to bring in an income to feed their families-where's your humanitarianism? Complain about the company if you must…they employ these people. Not to mention, we live in a rainbow world, and as Americans, we claim to be one of the leading nations, aiding other countries, taking part in Angel networks and the like…is that only in the public eye, or are we too elitely American to see other nations as equals? Yes, we pay for a service, yes, we should get something in return. But before you look to slate a company for 1 aspect you dislike, look at the tell tale signs…many reviews tell you their service isn't great. Weigh up the affordability, coverage and convenience of no contract with service, and if service is that important to you, don't sign up for the product. The world is full of people dealing with cancer, AIDS, poverty and yet we can take something so tiny in the greater scheme of things, and write pages on what a rough deal we got. Focus on what's good in your life, what you have to be grateful about, and see how your life changes! 🙂

My mom and I have been on the Net10 service for a little over a year now and love it. My parents got divorced around the same time, so we've been pretty tight on money. When she switched to prepaid, it actually has been a really great experience. We use high quality brand name phones, $50 for unlimited calling and texting, and are saving so much more compared to our old monthly contract. You just can't beat this service… love Net10!

today I purchased a net 10 30 day monthly plan of 750 for $25 to add to my already existing minutes of 350 with service till January. Much to my dismay, I lost these 358 minutes and also the time. Called customer service, and was informed that it was irreversible. What a rip off…;and what bad service. What a shame that a prepaid that has been great is so dishonest with this card. Who wants to lose minutes or time..So all that read this….if it seems to be a good deal..watch out…its not.

just got the t401g, and i am happy with their service. Howecer the t401g charges more per text than they say (5 cents instead of 3). well, i called them and they said they upgraded the phones or something, and the t401g has 5 cents. What gets me pissed is that they upgrade the phone but not the package which says three cents per message. Nevertheless, they have good service and i am happy with what was provided.
