Lycamobile Changes Plan Lineup
July 28, 2015/
Things are always changing in the mobile industry, and the prepaid sector sees those changes far more than just about anyone else. Continuing the host of recent changes to various prepaid carriers, Lycamobile looks like it has made some major shifts in its plan offerings of late including cutting prices and adding data or international calling minutes.
Lycamobile’s plans are a little on the complicated side, so to keep it simple, I’m only going to list out the changes to the plans rather than listing out ALL of Lycamobile’s complicated tiered plans. You can check out the full list of plans here, and believe me: you’ve not got a shortage of options.
Anyway, here are the plans that will be seeing changes immediately:
- $23 national plan was reduced to $19 but the plan details remain basically the same.
- New $23 plan was introduced. This plan includes unlimited nationwide talk, text and low speed data, 100 MB high speed data, unlimited international texting and unlimited minutes to Canada, China, Singapore and 8 other countries.
- $29 international plan now includes unlimited minutes to call India, China, Poland, Mexico, Bangladesh and 50 other countries (formerly was 1,000 minutes). Also gained 1,000 minutes to Canada, China, Singapore and 8 other countries.
- $35 and $45 national plans now includes 1,000 minutes to Canada, China, Singapore and 8 other countries, but lose their international credit
- $39 international plan now includes 1,000 minutes to Canada, China, Singapore and 8 other countries and 150 minutes to Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Costa Rica and 13 other countries
- $55 national plan saw a data increase from 8 GB to 10 GB of high speed data
- $59 international plan gains 1,000 minutes to Canada, China, Singapore and 8 other countries and 150 minutes to Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Costa Rica and 13 other countries.
