Motorola Offers Money For Your Old Phone
Moto G and the information on the new Moto X, Motorola has announced that they are doing a trade-in deal. When you purchase a new Moto G or Moto X phone, you can send Motorola your old phone and they will give you money for it. I didn’t see an expiration on the date of the offer, but they are advertising that you can get up to $300 for your phone, depending on the quality. The catch, though, is that your phone would have to be in REALLY GOOD condition to get the full $300. The phone has to be functional with no water damage or corrosion and an unbroken screen. In a CNET article, they went through some examples of the type of credit you could expect. They said that generally phones from BlackBerry, Nokia and LG had lower price quotes–under $100–but more popular phones, like the Samsung Galaxy line or undamaged iPhones would get higher rates. I played around with the site a little and found very few phones that offered much over $100 (even their own phones were under $100). If you are looking to get a new phone anyway, it would still be better than nothing, I suppose. When you mail in your phone, you will receive the money back in the form of a prepaid Visa card.
