If there’s one thing the internet loves more than new technology, it has to be rumors about new technology. So, today, I have some details on the rumored Nexus phablet from Motorola. Of course, I am certain that I don’t have to say that these are only rumors and nothing is solid yet. But… here’s what Gizmodo and a few other corners of the internet are saying: First, images leaked by Michael Sudol on the XDA forums (shown above) show a prototype of what many think is the new Nexus phone (possibly called Nexus 6 or Nexus X), which is said to have a 5.92 inch screen and looks pretty similar to the popular Moto X. Many sites are talking about how ‘gigantic’ and ‘huge’ that is, but I can’t help but think of several other phones that beat that, such as the Nokia Lumia 1520 (6 inch screen) the Samsung Galaxy Mega (6.3 inch screen) or the Sony Xperia Z Ultra (6.4 inch screen). Still, it’s pretty big. I mean, they nicknamed it “Shamu” after all. 9to5Google is claiming that the device will be launched in mid-October and released in November with a 1440p display, 3GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage and the new Snapdragon 805 processor. But again, that’s just the rumor. Several other specs have been leaked, and it certainly looks like a pretty solid device. Of course, the rumors on the iPhone 6 were pretty cool too and many of them, such as the sapphire glass screen, didn’t pan out.]]>
