Cricket announces pre-order for Crosswave mobile hotspot

Cricket continues its stronghold in prepaid mobile broadband with the announcement of the Crosswave. It’s a mobile hotspot that can take Cricket broadband signal and rebroadcast it as Wi-Fi for up to four devices. It also provides Cricket users with the ability to send and receive text messages, and has a microSD slot that can support up to a 35GB card. It will cost $150 when available, but Cricket offers a pair of discounts, $20 web-only and $25 mail-in, that bring it down to $105. As Stephanie Scala of SlashGear says, “why pay $130 for the 3G iPad when you can get a Crosswave for $105?” You can pre-order it at Cricket’s website.]]>
