Cricket Wireless Offered in Meijer Stores
June 30, 2015/
In the last year or so, AT&T’s prepaid brand Cricket Wireless has been expanding and reaching out to additional customers with offerings in various retail stores as well as deals with GameStop. Well, this week the prepaid company continued this trend with the announcement that Cricket phones and services will soon be sold in select Meijer stores around the country.
According to the press release, Cricket will be offering a variety of “Grab & Go” phones as well as BYOD Sim Card Kits. Cricket services are available in around 213 Meijer supercenters scattered throughout the midwest. States include Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. The merchandise should be available right now in participating stores, as the original launch date was Saturday. It is unclear whether customers will be able to purchase monthly plans or seek other customer service assistance from these stores, but I would assume not.
Surprisingly, I haven’t seen any specific promotions related to this new partnership, but Cricket does have some pretty good promotions going on right now on the website. Click here to check out other Cricket Wireless news.
Cricket Wireless offers a 4G LTE service based on AT&T’s network and operates across the country. The company has several plans starting at around $35 a month and offers several phones as well as the ability to activate a compatible unlocked GSM device.
