MetroPCS, an MVNO owned and operated by T-Mobile, recently launched a new smartphone to its lineup. The HTC Desire 530 has been available to T-Mobile customers since July, but MetroPCS customers seem to be getting a better deal due to the wait. While the device is available for $159.99 at T-Mobile, it’s being
sold to MetroPCS customers for $79 after rebates.
Here are the specs:
- 1.1 GHz Quad-core processor
- Android 6.0 OS
- 1.5GB RAM
- 16GB internal memory
- 8 megapixel front camera, 5 megapixel rear camera
- 5 inch HD display
- 2200 mAh battery
The HD display is protected with gorilla glass, and the 2200 mAh battery allows up to 13 hours of talk time and 22 days of standby time. The HTC Desire 530 is also hotspot enabled, allows WiFi calling, and uses Bluetooth 4.1.
The phone’s original price on MetroPCS is $159, about the same as T-Mobile, but once you locate the online and mail in rebate it comes out to way less. With this sale, you can get a pretty nice smartphone with good battery life and memory, at an affordable price. Even Verizon can’t beat the price—it is selling the phone for $144 currently.
MetroPCS plans begin at $30 a month and work up to $60 a month. With data options ranging from 1GB of LTE all the way to unlimited LTE, there is an option to fit the needs of both low and high data users. You can check out other phones offered by MetroPCS as well as plan details
