Kyocera Hydro Wave Comes to MetroPCS, T-Mobile
July 27, 2015/
MetroPCS and T-Mobile both added a new device to their respective lineups today: the Kyocera Hydro Wave. While I haven’t personally seen this device yet, the Wave looks like a good entry-level device meant for people who are a little harder on their devices.
The phone has an IP57 rating, which means that if you splash water on it or it gets dust on it the device should still be working just fine. IP57 doesn’t mean waterproof though, so while I wouldn’t recommend dunking it in the swimming pool, the device does have a pretty cool feature called wet screen tracking so if your hands are wet, you’ll still be able to use the device. Aside from that, the phone has some respectable specs:
- Android 5.1 Lollipop
- 5-inch screen
- 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 8 GB storage
- MicroSD slot (up to 32 GB)
- 5 MP back camera
- 2 MP front camera
- Bluetooth, Wifi calling, LTE, VoLTE connectivity options
Bought this phone on July 25 for 39$ plus 60$ monthly plan came out to be 101.56$ . its a decent phone ..bought mainly because is water resistant and dust ..and since I’m a mechanic its perfect for work.
