MetroPCS finishes big year with solid fourth quarter

Cricket was busy dusting itself off after a rough 2010, MetroPCS was busy putting the finishing touches on the biggest year in company history. In the fourth quarter MetroPCS added 298,000 subscribers, which brings their total to 8.1 million. But, most impressively, they added 1.5 million subscribers for the year, which represents the most they’ve ever added in a single year. The fourth quarter actually fell short of the 317,255 net subscribers from the fourth quarter of 2009, but Metro did manage to reduce churn from 5.3 percent to 3.5 percent. They also reduced year-over-year churn from 5.5 percent to 3.6 percent. With new LTE plans and new smartphones on the way, 2012 could be another banner year for MetroPCS. ]]>

Metro seem to be doing well. They are now following the lead of Straight Talk and Net 10 in offering unlimited prepaid packages. This is the way of the future as the prepaid offerings have now set a cap on what anyone needs to spend on a cellphone service. One thing is sure, the days of the contract cellphone are over.

Pete, MetroPCS was offering unlimited plans for years before Straight Talk existed, and for a long time before Net10 had one. Are you just spamming or trolling?
