Update: I’ve been informed that this is, in fact, an AWS phone. They just didn’t mention it in the press release.
That’s the newest offering from MetroPCS. It’s the Samsung Messager, and yeah, it’s a quality offering for the text-heavy individual. In addition to the killer ‘board, the Messager has a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, voice recognition, an an MP3 player with a microSD slot for up to 2 gigs. The downside is that this nowhere claims to be an AWS phone. Which is a shame, given how quickly Metro is expanding in those areas, and not so much in their core markets.
