Sprint Changes Prepaid Plan Prices

Amid steady changes to their postpaid prices and offerings, Sprint has made a few tweaks to their Sprint Prepaid plans this week. With very little fanfare, they have dropped prices for all three plans. These changes will take place immediately. The new rates are:
  • $35 – unlimited talk and text, 1 GB data
  • $45 – unlimited talk and text, 3 GB data
  • $55 – unlimited talk and text, 6 GB data
These prices are very similar to those enjoyed by Boost Mobile customers. Sprint Prepaid plans do not have unlimited lower speed data like some prepaid plans, and it doesn’t say on their site whether or not the data offered is throttled to 3G speeds. Normally these Sprint Prepaid prices would be superior to Boost, but the More Data promotion Boost is currently running offers more data at all three price points. More Data is set to end in November. Regardless, this should greatly help Sprint gain more footing although it’s hardly the disrupting move that CEO Marcelo Claure keeps promising.]]>

I tried to purchase one of these plans last week. Impossible to get. Their ordering process over the phone does not work and the stores do not carry the devices!!!
