Lumia Devices on Sale
June 4, 2015/
Well, it looks like Microsoft is prepping to launch some 2015 devices as several of last year’s Lumia phones are going on sale at various different retailers. The two most noteworthy deals involve the Lumia 435 and the Lumia 635, both of which are discounted for a limited time. Windows fans rejoice!
T-Mobile Lumia 435
The T-Mobile version of the Lumia 435 is currently on sale at Walmart for about $50; discounted from the normal price of $70. This device will ship with Windows 8.1 but is guaranteed to upgrade to Windows 10 when it launches for mobile devices.
The phone itself has the typical set of entry-level specs which will, no doubt, function quite well. This particular device can be activated on any T-Mobile prepaid plan. T-Mobile prepaid plans range from $40 – $60 and include unlimited talk and text with limited data which. Visit T-Mobile for more information on plans.
Virgin Mobile Lumia 635
There is also a Virgin Mobile version of the Lumia 635 currently on sale at Best Buy for $40, which is pretty deeply discounted from its normal $100 price tag. This 4G Windows phone is one of the more popular Lumia devices that Windows released last year. Best Buy is offering two different versions of the Lumia 535, one with 1 GB of RAM and the other with 512 MB. I wouldn’t recommend buying the 512 MB version if you can avoid it, however.
As far as general specs, the phone itself is just your basic Lumia device and will perform most tasks admirably. If you end up with the 512 MB version, you might see a bit more lag and the phone might have a little trouble with multitasking and such, but the phone itself is a good buy either way.
The Virgin Mobile version of this phone is only compatible with Virgin Mobile plans and likely will not be able to be unlocked and moved to a new carrier as Virgin Mobile phones are a little odd like that. However, Virgin has several different plan options for all types of users. Visit Virgin Mobile for more information on plans.]]>
