Red Pocket Mobile Supports iPhone 6

Red Pocket has announced that they can now support the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on their GSM networks. Unfortunately, the CDMA networks are not supported, and customer service said they didn’t have any information about when it will be supported. However, if you really want a CDMA network, Boost Mobile does support the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and the phone can be activated through them. I personally found it a little surprising that Red Pocket offers the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus so early, as most other MVNOs still don’t support Apple’s newest flagship. Red Pocket does not, however, sell the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus (or any iPhone, actually) so the phone must be purchased for full price from Apple and must be unlocked in order to be activated with Red Pocket. Red Pocket has three different types of plans that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will qualify for. These plans can be selected for either the GSMA or GSMT networks:
• $29 – Unlimited talk/text, 500 MB low speed data
• $39 – Unlimited talk/text, 500 MB high speed data
• $49 – Unlimited talk/text/data, first 1GB high speed data
• $59 – Unlimited talk/text/data, first 3 GB high speed data
If you want to use AT&T’s nationwide GSM network, then you’ll want to select the GSMA option. GSMA-only plans include:
• $69 – Unlimited talk/text, 4GB high speed data
• PayGo – $0.10 per minute/text, $0.30/MB
The other GSMT network uses T-Mobile’s network. They have two plans that are exclusive to their network:
• $19 – Unlimited text/data, 300 minutes
• $24 – Unlimited talk/text, 100 MB high speed data
All of the plans are on 30 day billing cycles and renew monthly. For more information or to check coverage for each network, visit Red Pocket Mobile’s website.]]>
