US Cellular tends to neglect its prepaid customers on occasion and doesn’t do half as many promotions for prepaid as it does postpaid. As a result, I don’t write about them all that much. However, it looks like US Cellular is offering prepaid customers a pretty good deal: $50 credit with a new activation.
According to US Cellular customer service reps, the $50 credit promotion is only available in-store. To qualify for the credit, customers must purchase a new smartphone from US Cellular and then activate it on one of US Cellular’s Simple Choice prepaid plans. The credit will be given to customers in the form of a US Cellular gift card which can be redeemed for accessories or used to pay a monthly bill.
Here’s a list of the
Simple Connect plans that will qualify you for the promotion:
- $40 – unlimited talk text and data (feature phones)
- $45 – unlimited talk text and low speed data, 1 GB high speed
- $55 – unlimited talk text and low speed data, 2 GB high speed
- $65 – unlimited talk text and low speed data, 4 GB high speed
This promotion is expected to end on
July 15, 2015 so be sure you take advantage of it before then. The promotion is only available in corporate and agent locations. You cannot apply online or via the phone. US Cellular only operates in select locations of the United States, so be sure you check coverage before applying.
