I bought my GoPhone 2 weeks ago. Im STILL trying to get AT&T to activate it correctly – they’ve screwed up 5 TIMES now. Multiple accounts, mis-ported phone number, replacement SIM cards that were never sent, and countless hours of my time wasted on hold waiting for them to answer. If there was another GSM provider in the San Francisco area, I’d ditch them already. And I havent even gotten to use the service yet!

AT&T (or cingular) provides good phones and good reception. Dowloading ringtones is easy and relatively inexpensive. I don’t like the dollar activation fee for every day I use my phone, but oh well. Customer service is friendly and helpful….if you can reach them. Overall I’d recommend them.
