Cricket Reduces Unlimited Plan Price to $60
The prepaid price war continues this month with Cricket Wireless, AT&T’s prepaid MVNO brand, slashing the price of its top-tier plan from $70 to $60. This comes only a month after Cricket added data to the non-unlimited plans and a couple weeks after announcing it would be offering better streaming options to save data. In addition to unlimited calls and texts to the United States, Cricket’s $60 plan also include unlimited calls and texts to Canada and Mexico, unlimited voice and data while roaming inside of Canada and Mexico, and unlimited texting to 38 other countries (MMS not included). The $60 unlimited data plan does have a caveat that after the first 22 GB, unlimited users may be throttled during peak times. Additionally, hotspots are not available on the unlimited plan. Here’s what the plan lineup looks like right now:
- $30 – unlimited talk and text in the US, 1 GB high speed data, unlimited lower speed data
- $40 – – unlimited talk and text in the US, 3 GB high speed data, unlimited lower speed data
- $50 – unlimited talk and text in the US/Mexico/Canada*, 8 GB high speed data, unlimited lower speed data
- $60 Pro – Unlimited talk and text in the US/Mexico/Canada*, 12 GB high speed data, unlimited low speed data
- $60 – unlimited talk and text in the US/Mexico/Canada*, unlimited high speed data
