Cricket Wireless Stores Are in Every State

AT&T purchased Leap Wireless in March 2014, and since the rebranding to Cricket Wireless, the company has expanded exponentially. After the grand opening of the Cricket Wireless store in Portland, Maine last week, Cricket now officially has a physical location in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. To give you a better idea of the kind of expansion AT&T’s prepaid brand has experienced, in 2016 alone, the company opened an additional 800 stores and now offers service and phones at more than 4.300 Cricket-branded and Cricket-authorized retail stores nationwide. Additionally, the company self-reported around 14,000 points of retail distribution across the country as well. “The future of no-annual-contract wireless service is giving customers more value and continuing to redefine the customer experience,” said John Dwyer, president, Cricket Wireless in a press release. “The stigma once carried by prepaid wireless no longer applies. Today, customers choosing prepaid wireless service can get more data on premium smartphones operating on a reliable network for an affordable cost. This wasn’t the case five to 10 years ago.” Cricket Wireless is probably, out of all of the AT&T MVNOs and prepaid options, my favorite retailer. Not only does it offer a similar level of customer service as AT&T, but its prices and service are the best the carrier has to offer. Of course, the devices in the online store leave something to be desired, but with a relaxed BYOD program, that doesn’t really matter. Cricket Wireless currently offers customers four plans ranging from $30 – $60 with unlimited talk and text and varying amounts of data. The company also offers a $5 monthly discount for customers who sign up for autopay. For more information, or to check out the services and plans offered, check out the Cricket website.]]>
