While the price hasn’t been changed, if you’ve been holding out on purchasing an iPhone 6 for use on a prepaid, no-contract plan, then now is your chance! Apple has finally made the phone available, factory-unlocked, SIM and contract free on their website. Prior to this change, you could only get the iPhone 6 by signing up for a new plan with either a postpaid or with select prepaid carriers.
The unlocked price will depend on what storage option you get, but for the iPhone 6, expect to pay $649 – $849 and for the iPhone 6 Plus, expect to pay $749 – $949 with storage options ranging from 16 GB to 128 GB. It might sound like a lot, but this is a high-end flagship phone we’re talking about.
The iPhone 6 has several exciting features including the ability to use Apple Pay, a higher screen resolution than any previous iPhone, Apple’s new iOS 8 and A8 chips, an excellent camera, Touch ID technology for unlocking your phone and in place of hard-to-type passwords, and more.
